This is the City of Sciences project of the new Boughzoul town city. The town general plan defines very large plots as superblocks. The proposal suggests a systematic intervention that makes possible the superblocks fragmentation in units, which allows a better approach to the local urban scale.
New units are semi-closed articulated generating an internal courtyard, protecting its interior of the sun and dominant winds and opening itself strategically in order to be connected with the public space.
The design conceives a limited system of building units which allows different spatial organizations depending on each situation and generating a great urban diversity.
