This is a project of a High School with 3 classes of Educació Secundària Obligatòria or ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education) and 2 for Batxillerat (two last years of High School for people aged 17-18.) It’s located on trapezoidal plot with an exceptional perspective over Rubí and Collserola mountains. The project is adapted to the topography, the classrooms stretch of longitudinally and parallel to the most elevated land zone and in contact with the Parc. From here and through a ramp, we gain access to an inferior and flatter height above sea level where there are the sports facilities and the gym, located perpendicularly articulating the access to the whole. The project aims to achieve an excellent compatibility between the different uses and the environment taking into account the aspect of the peace of land, the Collserola and Parc views and the acoustic protection. Classrooms face north (Parc of Ca n’Oriol), workshops, laboratories and tutorship classrooms face south, and the secretary’s office faces east. If we talk about construction, the building is designed through an economy of means, with a modular structure that allows modifications and reallocations of the teaching space and making use of materials that provide a maximum durability, a minimum maintenance and an energy saving.
